Ethiopia Sase Rodoo

Sase Rodoo is a hand sculpture honoring three Ethiopian children. These three children are very dear to the farmers, as they always came to help their elders take care of the coffee trees. The farmers nicknamed them the trio of the helping hand, to the point where in gratitude, they built the sculpture that gives its name to this coffee, the big hand (Mareterracoffee.com).

Ethiopia is famous as the birthplace of coffee and is still the fifth largest producer in the world. Coffee provides the primary income for up to 25% of the population as more than  15 million people grow coffee as their major cash crop (Sucafina.com). Sase Rodoo is grown in the Sidamo region and has delicious fruity notes and red apple in particular. It has an impressive specialty coffee rating and we particularly enjoy it as a pour over, but it also makes a great espresso drink or brewed in a mokka pot. We hope that you enjoy it as much as we do.
